MNP Working on NLA Award Winning £35m+ Estate Regeneration of Tybalds Estate in Holborn

February 20th, 2016

Tybalds Estate in Holborn is to be redeveloped as part of the Community Investment Programme. The £35m+ project will include new, sustainable and cost-efficient heating systems as well as improved landscaping and security.  London Borough of Camden’s master plan for the development was an Overall Winner in the New London Architecture Awards back in 2013.

Working alongside design and build contractor Durkan, MNP are designing nine-storey extensions to five 1950's apartment blocks and five single-storey vertical extensions. There will be six new mews houses, two new five storey blocks and a new block of split-level apartments. To complete the enhancement of the local area, existing buildings will also undergo substantial renovation.

Designs for the extensions, new building and structural modifications in this £35m+ project are being produced on a tight schedule, working with architects Avanti, MAE and Duggan Morris and Ikon Project Managers. Camlins are landscape designers and Designbrook are M&E engineers for the project.
