MNP have joined Grosvenor’s Net Zero Mentoring programme

Working to set Science Based Targets

Here at Mason Navarro Pledge, we have been working towards the Sustainable Development Goals by the United Nations and in November 2019 we signed up to the “Engineers Declare Climate and Biodiversity Emergency” Declaration from the IStructE as part of our vision to reduce our carbon footprint.

The next logical step for us was to set clear, actionable goals on the path to Net-Zero.

Therefore, we are excited to announce that we are participating in Grosvenor’s Net Zero Mentoring Programme. This will enable us to set our own Science Based Target, achieve a Gold Standard, and take meaningful climate action.

Following the stages defined by the Science Based Targets initiative, over the next 8 months we will be:

  • Calculating our carbon baseline
  • Setting an action plan for success
  • Achieving ambitious Science Based Targets, both near-term and long-term.

“ MNP recognises the need for committed action on climate change in all sectors of society, including the construction industry. That’s why we’ve partnered with Grosvenor and Heart of The City to deliver science-based emission reduction targets by 2025. We join a group of ambitious construction firms set to lead the way on building a sustainable, net-zero sector.

One of our primary business objectives is to halve emissions before 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions before 2050. We look forward to working with like-minded organisations and encourage others to join us.”
