MNP reaching new heights

Team of 13 summit the Yorkshire Three Peaks

An intrepid team from MNP recently took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge. Starting in Horton-in-Ribblesdale they tackled Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough over a 40km route which involved ascending 1,610m overall.

The weather tried its best to put them off – although the challenge began with relatively warm and dry conditions, by the time they got to the top of Whernside it was windy, raining and the temperature was dropping quickly, and it only got worse from there! The long walk back to the minibus from Ingleborough was completed just before it started to get dark, with a total walking time of just under 9.5 hours.

Congratulations to all involved – Jenna Sewell, Jeffrin Simon, David Rafferty, Caspar More, James Evangeli, Leo Corney, Martin King, Heather Presland, Lee Hobbs, Sam Margrave-Jones, Tom Georgakopoulos, Tom Akrigg and Laith Bilbeisi.
