We are delighted to announce that we are renewing our sponsorship support of Hitchin Rugby Club for another 5 years.
Having just finished our first 5 years as lead sponsor for the club, which came off the back of a platinum and tag festival sponsor back in 2016, MNP are delighted to be taking our sponsorship deal all the way through to 2027.
Stuart Pledge, Managing Director had this to say:
“It was an easy decision for us to take as a locally HQ’d business. Despite us now being UK-wide with 4 office locations, our heart and roots are still firmly in Hitchin. The club is in amazing health, with the men’s first team being promoted at the end of the 21/22 season, the ladies sides both finishing in the highest position to date, the U15’s taking part in the nationals, the girls sides doubling in members, and the touch team growing beyond 100 members. We even had our first U18 England touch player representing the country in France this summer and were delighted that he came home with a gold medal!
As a business, we like to support the local community by providing work placements and experience. Through our STEM Ambassadors programme, we provide annual placements and also working opportunities for the local community, to keep the home-grown talent here in Hitchin and Hertfordshire. We look forward to seeing how the next 5 years will evolve as our relationship goes from strength to strength – good luck to all teams this season.”
Hitchin Rugby Chairman, Peter Tasko said: “We cannot thank Mason Navarro Pledge enough for their support of Hitchin rugby and the local community. Their help over the past 5 years has allowed the club to expand and offer better rugby and facilities to every member and to reach out further into the town and surrounding villages. We run three men’s teams, two Ladies teams, have some 600 mini and youth members, both boys and girls, an active touch rugby section and some 200 Vice Presidents. The partnership with MNP has been fundamental to our success in offering rugby to anyone whatever their background, gender or ability.
“The fact that MNP has committed to a further five years of fantastic support allows us to plan with confidence. MNP MD Stuart Pledge is a great believer in sport and teamwork and supports us wholeheartedly. The fact that we are committed to the local community, not just through rugby but through events such as the Hitchin Beer Festival and the NHRN Sports Festival, dovetails with the ethos of MNP. We recently invited Stuart to become a Vice President of our club which is only a small way to show our gratitude to MNP.”
