Transformation of the old Pitman Press Building

On the site of the old Pitman Press building (where shorthand was invented), will be a new development of 260 apartments and houses and 4500 sq m underground car park. The project includes basement construction in a contaminated, poor quality ground with a high water table, facade retention, reinforced concrete podium deck structures with lightweight modular construction above.

Working with Collado Collins Architects for Aberdeen Standard Investments.

Demolition and retention of the heritage facade is complete with main works due to commence later in 2018.
