Transformation of the old Pitman Press Building

On the site of the old Pitman Press building where shorthand was invented, will be a new development of 260 apartments and houses and 4500 sq m underground car park. The project includes basement construction in a contaminated, poor quality ground with a high water table, façade retention, and reinforced concrete podium deck structures with lightweight modular construction above.

Deconstruction and retention of the heritage façade has been completed with construction works yet to commence.
