On the site of the old Pitman Press building (where shorthand was invented), will be a new development of 260 apartments and houses and 4500 sq m underground car park. The project includes basement construction in a contaminated, poor quality ground with a high water table, facade retention, reinforced concrete podium deck structures with lightweight modular construction above.
