Refurbishment of a Grade 1 listed hotel

This Grade 1 listed 4* hotel occupies a Tudor building which has been an Inn since the 18th century. Owners Mercure Hotels have invested in a continual refurbishment to upgrade rooms, eliminate creaks and repair the timber frame.

Beams have been replaced, others strengthened with steel plates, and offices have been converted to suites. MNP carried out exploratory tests, calculated loads and detailed support structures to replace office accommodation with new bedroom suites.
