Two storey data centre in Farnborough

The development consists of a two storey data centre facility with new car parking and associated external landscaping. Smaller ancillary buildings house additional plant equipment and substations. The main building occupancy is data servers, mechanical and electric plant rooms, loading bay and meet-me rooms at ground floor. There is a separate area of the building which comprises front of house, offices and BOH amenities.

The structure comprises a curved portal frame roof with steel downstand beams with composite concrete deck at first floor. An existing data centre facility required fibre cables to remain throughout construction, therefore the design was proposed to mitigate impact on these assets.
