Transforming a 1960s Seifert designed brutalist building into a modern co-working space

We engineered a comprehensive refurbishment across this 124,000 sq ft, 8 storey and triple basement 1960s building. Work included a modern stone façade designed by Seifert, but inspired and influenced by the neighbouring listed Lutyens building, a rooftop plant room conversion to add co-working offices, with new ground floor retail space and a gym.

We had the opportunity to make the street frontages more engaging whilst reducing the weight of the existing building above by means of lighter materials and a more open form.

By working in collaboration with Darling Associates for this build we ensured that WeWorks latest office space would be a welcome addition to its growing portfolio.

The development is rated BREAAM Very Good.
