Construction of new 2 storey steel frame BMW/Mini dealership, over a single storey concrete basement. Built on the site of the former Spaniards inn adjacent the A3, the site has proved a challenging site to service from a drainage point of view with no current connection to foul or surface water sewers. The scheme has required the installation of large volume attenuation soakaways under most of the car parking, and the appointment of Thames Water to install a new 1.3KM foul connection.
We have worked with Group One Automotive, Taylor Design Architects and Horizon Construction to deliver a structurally efficient steel frame, and rationalised basement to offer the best cost efficiencies. The scheme was complicated by the discovery of a 40m deep well under the footprint of the new building, requiring us to employ well remediation specialists to obtain EA approval with modified foundation solutions.
Project started on site in May 2019 and is due to finish August 2020.
