The scheme provides much needed residential dwellings to the centre of Woking through deconstruction of the existing retail/office building and construction of the new residential-led development. The northern part will be 25-storeys in height, whilst the southern side will extend up to 12 storeys. Landscaped amenity areas will be located where the building steps in height and on the central area of level 01. It is proposed that the ground floor will offer residential amenity spaces and commercial units.
The new structure will be a concrete frame form of construction with flat slabs to minimise the overall planning. MNP worked closely with the design team to guide layouts to provide efficient structural solutions. With managed spans, central cores and removal of all transfers the scheme ensures efficient use of materials helping minimise cost and carbon impacts.
