Church Farm volunteering day

Last week we had the pleasure of volunteering at Church Farm in Ardeley, located 25 mins from our Hitchin office, helping to freshen up their outdoor seating and entrance area.  We got involved in gardening, sanding and oiling the picnic tables, re-painting the storage sheds, and repairing some rotten wood.  The MNP team achieved a lot in the day, and were grateful to have lovely weather!  You can check out the before and after pictures on our social media pages.

Alongside being a working farm with shop, café and camping facilities, Church Farm run the Rural Care programme, which enables people with learning disabilities to work on a farm, learn new skills and make friends, helping increase their confidence and independence.

We were delighted to help out and have a tour of the farm; we highly recommend a visit, and a meal at their pub The Jolly Waggoner!
