Background:

These 12 luxury apartments were built on the footprint of a Victorian office building, next door to Cullinan Studio’s new offices at the Foundry, overlooking the Grand Union Canal.

MNP worked as civil and structural engineers on the design of these apartments with Cullinan Studio, Jerram Falkus Construction and Jerram Developments Ltd.  Work involved demolition of a run down 1840s office building and construction of a new 5 storey reinforced concrete frame structure, with basement and rooftop penthouse.

Construction in close proximity to the Grand Union Canal involved consultation with British Waterways. Complex temporary works allowed MNP to reuse an existing masonry retaining wall as temporary support during construction, and retain an original flank wall next to the Narrow Boat pub.

All the apartments were sold off plan prior to completion.
