Background:

Stiff + Trevillion Architects’ design for Westbourne House was awarded Best Overall Development at the 2015 International Design and Architecture Awards.

MNP worked closely again with Stiff + Trevillion and Alchemi’s Group’s Creative Director Laura Marino to develop workable designs for this high end residential scheme that has become a prominent feature of the local area.

This 1980s office block in fashionable Notting Hill has been transformed to include 20 luxury, open-plan apartments with a concierge service and car lifts into the basement. As well as an underground car park, an additional floor was added to the top of this 8-storey, 40,000 sq ft building, including a stunning penthouse with 360 degree views.

A retail bank remained in operation on the ground floor throughout the course of the project while complex structural alterations took place to reconfigure the building. Sensitive design of structural framing and temporary works was paramount, to keep cost and programme to a minimum.
